Data & Review Notes

Internal review candidate · 1978–2026 source coverage. Season totals are explicit source assertions with approved corrections. Missing values remain —. Cumulative fields are not necessarily corroborated by complete game data. Data and review notes

1978–2026: 993 XML games and 736 player-season records. These are review candidates, not certified all-time records.

• Source assertions are not automatically certified.
• No cross-season player merges without an owner decision.
• Canonical home/away/neutral classifications remain separate from batting orientation.
• Older cumulative totals remain source assertions; only fields passing the approved selection policy enter older-season rankings.
• The 2002 concatenated alternate is evidence only, not additional games; its fielding disagreements remain held.
• Workbook results remain separate source rows, not XML games. Stored date years may disagree with season headings.
• 1978–1986 have season records only. The 1987–1999 and 2003 PDFs supplement workbook statistics with varying component coverage.
• PDF SAC means sacrifice bunts. Spreadsheet SAC remains unsplit; unreported SF is not inferred, even when the totals match.
• Some PDF rows have conflicting totals, ambiguous innings, or unresolved names. Source assertions remain visible; conflicting player fields stay out of working rankings.

Pitching rates use seven innings; innings are interpreted as integer outs. Missing statistics remain unavailable. The 2025 approved pitching and identity corrections are retained.

Career identities reflect the owner-approved groups. Rate qualifications use the owner-approved softball minimums. Verified opponent aliases are combined for display; original source identities are preserved. The engine is published for owner review.
